Map Viewing Tips:

Maps and are initially displayed in a large scrollable format. This provides
a larger view of the map as an aid in locating parishes or DED’s.

If you want to view an entire map click on the scrollable image and a full
sized map image will be displayed.
•
To view the scrollable format again click on the full screen map image.
•
When you are viewing maps full screen, there are a set of controls at the
bottom of the map. These allow you to scroll sequentially through the
maps. > moves you forward one map, < moves you back one map.
•
When viewing a map full screen there may be a “film strip” at the bottom
of the map which allow your to select maps in any order. Your screen
resolution may not show the film strip. If this is the case click and hold
your mouse pointer on the map and drag it up to display the strip at the
bottom.

If you have purchased a Surname Atlas option and want to know the
parish or DED ## for a 1901 Census or Griffith map:

For the 1901 Census map use the > button to view the DED/parish map.
This will display the DED ## and the Parish ## where a set of census
records are found. Then use the appropriate map key to learn the DED
or Parish name.

If you are viewing the enlarged scrollable map views use the menu
buttons for the same effect.
