Welcome to the Kilpatrick Surname

study!

My name is Howard Mathieson and I am a retired Geography Instructor with a background in Geographic Information Systems. I retired in 2000 after 30 years of teaching. Since then, I have devoted much of my attention to GeoGenealogy, which involves the application of Geography to Genealogy. I specialize in mapping the genealogy of Ulster and Scotland. I produce a wide range of maps, including surname distribution maps, county maps, thematic maps, and maps tailored to your personal needs. Whether you are writing a book, building a website, or planning a reunion, my maps can provide context and interest for your project. If you are interested in a map project please contact me via email with the subject heading "map inquiry," and we can discuss your project further. On a personal note, I spend my winters in Arizona, where I lecture for groups and societies on topics related to the genealogy of the British Isles. The rest of my time is divided between Winnipeg and my cottage in Lake of the Woods, Ontario. My other interests include gardening at the lake and spending time with my family
